Wireless Set No. 19 Mk II - totally HAM-ed

On this page I want to introduced a WS19 that was totally HAM-ed. A HAM, Hans PA3CNV used this WS19 to experiment and rebuild it the way he thought was best. This page is a tribute to those pioneers that used their imagination that lead to SDR radios the size of a USB stick.

A Youtube movie of this WS19 can be seen here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E3wdqAGdxaM

WS19Mk-II, made by Philco Corp. USA.

Serial number: 08779

Many controls are replaced and/or added. The front panel is repainted and a new legend is applied.

The right side shows us a 6k7G replaced by a metal version. Also a DIN-tape socket is added.

The back side. Again, a 6K7 replacement. Many other additions, a.o.: output transformer, Miniwatt tube, instrument, PSU.

B-set, intercom and TX-stage are gone.

Better look at the PSU. Transformer from an old domestic Philips radio. Other parts from the tube colour tv era.

Big hole in the front to accomodate the instrument.

TX parts are gone.

The bottom. Lots of room, there!
